If you want to venture out of London on Christmas Eve, this tour will take you across England to discover some glorious countryside and fascinating British history. You will enjoy entry to Warwick Castle before travelling through the Cotswolds to Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford.

Warwick Castle
Play a role at Britain’s greatest medieval experience! Warwick Castle dates back to 1068 and was developed by William the Conqueror, the first Norman King of England. This menacing stronghold today strives to recreate the feel of the Middle Ages and gives visitors the opportunity to get involved in the typical medieval lifestyle. See how knights prepared for battle, try on a battle helmet and feel the weight of a traditional sword! See the Mighty Trebuchet, a huge catapult, and explore the lavish State Rooms during your visit.

Cotswolds
After leaving Warwick Castle, the coach will travel through the picturesque hills of the Cotswolds. This pretty area of English countryside features traditional stone houses, low bridges and miles upon miles of green fields. See Costwolds villages decorated for the festive season as you head towards Stratford-upon-Avon.

Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon
The market town of Stratford-upon-Avon is home to the world-famous half timbered house that sheltered William Shakespeare for many years of his life. The Bard grew up in this house and you will get to walk through the rooms of the 16th century building, seeing where the legendary playwright spent his time. The house has also welcomed writers including Charles Dickens, John Keats and Thomas Hardy – every literature lover’s dream line-up!

Walking Tour of Oxford
Your final destination on you Christmas Eve tour will be the city of Oxford. Oxford is home to the oldest university in the English speaking world and is still an incredibly prestigious place to study. For over 900 years, Oxford has been a centre for academic excellence so follow in the footsteps of past students including Bill Clinton and C.S. Lewis during a walking tour. You will pass the old Bodleian Library and college courtyards as your guide takes you through the beautiful cobbled streets. See the Christmas decorations strung up across the buildings and soak up the jolly atmosphere as you visit some of the highlights of Oxford.

This tour will arrive back in London at approximately 6.30pm.
