Description

See how the rest of England celebrates the holiday season! This tour from London on Boxing Day will take you to see some of the greatest monuments and architecture in Britain, including Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and the Roman city of Bath.

Windsor

The tour departs from London in the morning and you will travel to the town of Windsor. Home to Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite weekend residence, the town is famous for its illustrious royal history. Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and you will be able to snap some precious photographs of this magnificent 12th century home during a walking tour of Windsor. Unfortunately, Windsor Castle is closed on Boxing Day so you will not be able to visit inside the castle.

Stonehenge

After leaving Windsor, the tour continues on to the awe-inspiring monument of Stonehenge. This World Heritage Site is around 5,000 years old and continues to mystify the modern world as we are still puzzling over how or why the huge rocks came to rest on Salisbury Plain! Make up your own mind during a visit to Stonehenge and learn about the theories surrounding the monument.
Once your visit to Stonehenge is over, jump back on the cosy coach for the journey to Salisbury Cathedral.

Lunch (Click here for sample menu)
You will take a break from seeing the beautiful sights and enjoy a delicious cavery lunch.

Salisbury

Once you reach Salisbury Cathedral, you will take a break from sightseeing with a delicious two course lunch at the restaurant inside the cathedral.
After lunch, you will have time to explore Salisbury Cathedral. Home to Britain’s tallest spire, this captivating Gothic cathedral was built in the 13th century and has the best preserved copy of the Magna Carter within its walls! You can see the Magna Carter and much more during your visit.

Bath

The Roman city of Bath is the final stop on your Boxing Day tour. This gorgeous city boasts some of the finest architecture in England and sights to see include the famous Roman Baths, Pulteney Bridge and Bath Abbey. The Abbey was the location for the coronation of the first British King in 973AD! Enjoy a whistle stop tour of Bath’s famous monuments and take in the festively decorated attractions on Boxing Day. You will not be able to visit the Roman Baths as they will be closed.

After your tour of Bath, the coach will return to London for an evening arrival.

This tour will arrive back in London at approximately 7:30pm.
